Accounting & Tax Officer (Lisbon)

About the role

TMF Group is looking for an Accounting & Tax Officer to join its Lisbon team. You will support an international client portfolio, handling accounting entries, tax compliance and reporting while collaborating with senior Account Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Book accounting entries, including complex calculations.
• Prepare account reconciliation files and corporate reporting outputs.
• Collect and upload supporting documents for VAT, WHT, Intrastat and CIT filings.
• Prepare and submit tax forms, including VAT, WHT, Intrastat and corporate income tax.
• Export SAFT files, draft annual accounts and populate final tax applications.
• Extract reports from the ERP system and assist auditors with required information.
• Handle basic client correspondence (invoices, bank statements) and maintain proper document archiving.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management or Finance.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience.
• Experience interacting with clients.
• Knowledge of VAT, WHT, Intrastat and corporate income tax.
• Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Intermediate level of English.
