Accounting Senior Consultant

About the role

PwC Services Portugal (PSP) is expanding its Tax and Accounting department and seeks an Accounting Senior Consultant to join its Matosinhos team. You will work closely with PwC Luxembourg’s clients, providing high‑quality accounting, tax, and corporate secretarial services across a range of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Review financial statements and other accounting reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and review consolidated accounts and GAAP conversion files, primarily IFRS and US‑GAAP.
• Manage day‑to‑day client files, handling accounting and tax matters throughout the client lifecycle.
• Coach and mentor junior staff, sharing knowledge to support their professional development.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting department.
• Strong understanding of European GAAP or IFRS; knowledge of Luxembourg tax rules is a plus.
• Fluent in English; additional languages (French, German, etc.) are advantageous.

• Proficiency with accounting software and technology tools (specific tools not listed).
