Accounting Officer – Boutique Hotel

About the role

The Accounting Officer will support the finance team of Quinta da Comporta Wellness Boutique Hotel, ensuring accurate processing of all accounting documents and timely financial reporting. This onsite position works closely with the Certified Accountant to maintain the hotel’s financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, classify and record accounting documents.
• Perform bank reconciliations and regularise accounts.
• Assist with monthly closing procedures and ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare mandatory reports and declarations (e.g., COPE, GEDIPE).
• Manage customer and supplier accounts, monitor payments and collections.
• Review accounts, identify discrepancies and resolve them.
• Maintain proper filing and organisation of accounting and administrative documentation.
• Provide administrative support to the department and assist the Certified Accountant.

Required profile

• Academic or professional qualification in Accounting, Management or a related field.
• Professional experience in accounting functions, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong organisational, accuracy and detail‑orientation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
• Proactive attitude with strong sense of responsibility.

Required skills

• Primavera (preferred).
• Cegid (preferred).
• Microsoft Excel.
