Accountant (M/F) – Lisbon

About the role

ManpowerGroup is seeking an Accountant (M/F) to join its Finance team in Lisbon. The role focuses on daily cash reconciliation, supporting accounts payable, treasury, and asset accounting, while collaborating with UK Finance, Treasury, Payments and Operations teams. The successful candidate will bring energy, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Post business transactions and support month, quarter and year‑end closing activities.
• Perform accounts, banks, intercompany and system reconciliations.
• Assist with audit requests and produce monthly financial reports.
• Support Accounts Payable, Asset accounting and Treasury functions.
• Liaise with internal and external parties to meet deadlines and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare management information reports and resolve stakeholder queries.
• Create and update internal processes and documentation.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects and standardisation of European procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Administration, Accounting or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of Income Statement and Balance Sheet concepts.
• Fluent in German and English; additional European language is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in diverse teams.
• Detail‑oriented, structured and autonomous working style.
• Ability to explain findings clearly and avoid confusion.
• Results‑driven with high energy for a fast‑paced environment.
