Accountant – General Accounting & Reporting

About the role

Perform general accounting activities such as accruals, bookings, reconciliations, and assist with month‑end and year‑end closing, reporting and statutory accounts. Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in compliance with local and international accounting rules, US GAAP and company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, register and control accruals (G&A, revenue, salaries, etc.) to reflect the company’s financial condition.
• Classify and post general ledger, bank and journal entries, ensuring compliance with NetJets standards and applicable laws.
• Execute monthly reconciliations for accounts payable, receivable and fixed assets, resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare financial statistical information for legal and tax authorities in the UK, USA, Portugal and other jurisdictions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes by providing accurate accounting data for management reporting.
• Assist with financial audits and ad‑hoc external requests, coordinating with internal and external auditors.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics.
• Minimum 6 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Excellent command of English and strong attention to detail.
• Results‑driven team player with strong analytical thinking.
• Knowledge of database systems and financial software is an advantage.
