Utilities Supervisor

About the role

Mentor Technical Group is seeking a Utilities Supervisor to oversee the operation, maintenance, and documentation of client utilities equipment across its life‑science projects. The role involves coordinating work schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and providing technical support to meet regulatory and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Determine work schedules, sequences, and assignments based on priority, equipment quantity, and personnel skill.
• Monitor work areas, tools, and equipment to detect unsafe conditions or procedural violations.
• Review employee performance, counsel on work‑related issues, and address skill deficiencies.
• Requisition tools, equipment, and replacement parts as needed.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to create templates and reference points for workers.
• Organize and deliver training on safety, repair, maintenance techniques, and equipment operation.
• Maintain accurate records of utilities equipment parameters and ensure compliance with manufacturer manuals and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide technical advice to guarantee cost‑effective, compliant operations within project timelines.
• Manage documentation quality, issue performance reports, and foster strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising technical or utilities teams in a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of safety standards, FDA‑related regulations, and utility equipment operation.
• Ability to analyze work performance, give constructive feedback, and develop staff skills.
• Excellent organizational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with effective communication skills.
