Traffic Assistant – Logistics

About the role

The Traffic Assistant supports the logistics team by handling shipment claims, coordinating domestic and international shipments, and ensuring cost control and effective communication with suppliers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, document, investigate, and follow up on local and international shipment claims.
• Manage claims with suppliers and coordinate timely resolutions.
• Prepare damaged goods and logistics reports.
• Review carrier invoices for traffic department approval.
• Coordinate the dispatch and tracking of empty kegs.
• Generate monthly or bi‑monthly 3‑Way Match reports.
• Arrange required fumigations according to logistical and regulatory processes.
• Handle customs entries, ISF, and system processes such as SURI, Steam Ship, and ATR.
• Track registered wagon reports and communicate with suppliers and carriers.
• Report outstanding merchandise to process required lifts.
• Maintain constant communication with local and international suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in logistics, claims handling, or customer service.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Basic knowledge of domestic and international import processes (land and sea).
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and high organizational sense.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (tables, filters, basic formulas).
