Technician I – Remote Care (Second Shift)

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Technician I for Remote Care to join its second‑shift call‑center team in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. You will provide first‑line technical assistance to health‑care professionals, Abbott field staff, patients and internal departments, handling inquiries about remote monitoring devices and services.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls, collect detailed information on technical issues, complaints and adverse events, and document them accurately.
• Tri­age calls and coordinate with senior personnel when additional support is required.
• Provide product support including website navigation, mobile‑device assistance, telecommunication connectivity, set‑up guidance and approved troubleshooting for Abbott‑proprietary remote‑care products.
• Participate in rotating after‑hours on‑call coverage, following established protocols.
• Meet departmental performance targets and complete required trainings and certifications.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, data‑privacy rules and Abbott policies.

Required profile

• Basic customer‑service orientation with strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and work under close supervision.
• Attention to detail for accurate note‑taking and reporting.
• Willingness to work second‑shift hours and occasional on‑call rotations.
