Tax Senior Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Senior Specialist to join EDP’s Global Tax Hub in Lisbon. The role will support the Group’s tax controlling, transaction structuring and strategic planning, with a focus on transversal matters and North American jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in M&A transactions, providing tax structuring, due‑diligence and cross‑border planning.
• Develop, implement and oversee EDP Group’s tax policy, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with local tax teams on corporate restructuring, operational structuring, tax optimisation and risk‑management projects.
• Analyse international tax aspects, including permanent establishment risks, withholding tax, treaty application and tax efficiency of transactions.
• Provide technical tax support to business units and platforms, coordinate external advisors and assist with tax reporting packages.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Business, Taxation or related field.
• 5‑8 years of corporate tax experience with international exposure; North American tax knowledge is a plus.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication abilities.
