System Administrator

About the role

The Systems Administrator will manage PharmPix’s hybrid IT environment, ensuring the availability, performance, reliability, and security of both on‑premises data‑center assets and cloud services. This role supports daily operations, resolves infrastructure issues, and acts as a Tier II escalation point for the Service Desk.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot on‑premises and cloud servers, storage, and virtualization platforms (Nutanix AHV, VMware).
• Administer Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Services, NPS, FTP, Group Policies, and file servers.
• Manage backup, replication, and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Execute system updates, firmware upgrades, and hypervisor patches in coordination with security.
• Deploy production applications and system changes following change‑management procedures.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive) and Entra ID.
• Provide Tier II support for escalated system issues and assist network teams with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless APs.
• Collaborate with IT Security on vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and incident response.
• Maintain asset inventory, configuration documentation, and SOPs; support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience administering Windows and Linux server environments.
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization (VMware, Nutanix AHV) and VDI solutions.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and identity services.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work across IT disciplines.
