Structural Engineer – Guaynabo, Puerto Rico

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its Guaynabo, Puerto Rico office. You will work on the design and analysis of new state‑of‑the‑art facilities as well as upgrades to existing structures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across North America.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for new facilities and existing upgrades.
• Maintain schedule and technical quality for assigned engineering tasks.
• Identify, communicate, and manage scope and design changes promptly.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers as project complexity grows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural focus.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification; Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineering Registration (SE) preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to learn quickly, contribute innovative ideas, and work effectively in diverse teams.
