Special Agent – Engineering Expertise

About the role

The FBI is seeking candidates with strong engineering backgrounds to serve as Special Agents. In this role you will apply analytical and technical expertise to protect the nation from cyber‑attacks, terrorism, fraud and other evolving threats.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze complex data sets to identify patterns and critical information for investigations.
• Support investigations into cybercrime, terrorism, fraud and other threats to public safety.
• Leverage technical knowledge to develop investigative strategies and solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address national security challenges.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex situations and make decisions under pressure.
• Strong judgment, accountability and the capacity to operate across competing priorities.
