Special Agent – Cybersecurity & Technology Expertise

About the role

The FBI is seeking a Special Agent with deep expertise in cybersecurity and technology to protect the nation from cyber‑attacks, terrorism, fraud and other evolving threats. You will transition your technical background into federal law‑enforcement investigations, applying analytical and data‑driven skills to safeguard public safety.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, analyze and disrupt cyber threats targeting critical infrastructure and government systems.
• Collect, process and evaluate complex digital evidence to support investigations.
• Collaborate with inter‑agency partners, intelligence analysts and forensic specialists.
• Develop and present actionable intelligence reports to senior leadership.
• Participate in field operations, surveillance and tactical missions as required.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, information technology or related technical fields.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent judgment, accountability and adaptability in dynamic environments.
• Willingness to undergo rigorous training and obtain FBI Special Agent certification.
