Software Engineer – Associate

About the role

The Software Engineer will work end‑to‑end on new features, enhancements, and defect resolution across iCapital's platforms. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, participate in daily stand‑ups, and contribute to code reviews while gaining exposure to Ruby on Rails and React technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend features using Ruby (3.6.6) and Rails (6.x).
• Implement frontend components with React and Redux.
• Create unit and integration tests using RSpec, Cucumber, and Capybara.
• Build prototypes and proof‑of‑concepts.
• Participate actively in daily stand‑up meetings and peer code reviews.

Required profile

• Degree in Software Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of full‑stack web development experience.
• Proficiency in React and Ruby on Rails (or Python/Elixir as a substitute).
• Strong HTML/CSS skills and understanding of relational database modeling.
• Fluent written and verbal English and Portuguese.
• Ability to work independently or within a team.
