Shopify Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Shopify Developer to join Metyis’ Technology team in Porto. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing a B2B Shopify e‑commerce platform, ensuring high availability and smooth business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide production support for the Shopify platform, monitoring health, integrations and uptime.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Shopify, Azure middleware, payment, authentication and third‑party services.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for production issues and document preventive recommendations.
• Manage support tickets against agreed SLAs and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with business users, support, development, QA and infrastructure teams to resolve problems efficiently.
• Monitor and maintain integration jobs, APIs, webhooks and data synchronization between Shopify and enterprise back‑ends.
• Validate fixes, configuration changes and emergency deployments while minimizing disruption.
• Support release activities, hyper‑care, post‑release monitoring and user‑access management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing or supporting Shopify solutions.
• Strong technical background with experience in cloud middleware (Azure) and e‑commerce integrations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary, international team.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and capacity to communicate technical issues clearly.
