About the role
The Service Center Technician works the third shift, handling incoming telephone and web requests. The role involves evaluating, prioritising and providing an initial assessment of each request, aiming to resolve issues directly or route them to the appropriate support groups according to service level agreements.
Key responsibilities
- Answer and log incoming telephone and web support requests.
- Assess and prioritise tickets based on urgency and impact.
- Attempt first‑level resolution using service management tools and known error databases.
- Escalate or route unresolved issues to specialised support teams within defined timeframes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of actions taken and outcomes.
Required profile
- Associate degree in Computer Programming, Computer Science, Administration, Technology or Education.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a related technical support or service desk role.
- Strong analytical, communication and time‑management abilities.
- Proficiency with keyboard entry and documentation practices.
