Senior UX Designer

About the role

As a Senior UX Designer within Hiscox’s Technology function, you will own the experience outcomes for defined products or journey domains, shaping end‑to‑end solutions for customers, brokers and employees. You will combine strategic thinking with hands‑on design to deliver usable, accessible and commercially effective experiences that support the company’s transformation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end UX design across complex journeys, ensuring teams address the right problems and deliver coherent experiences.
• Define experience direction within your domain, contributing to north‑star journeys and experience principles.
• Translate research insights into clear design solutions that balance user needs, technical constraints and business priorities.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture and Data teams to shape and validate solutions.
• Facilitate design workshops, design reviews and alignment sessions with stakeholders.
• Contribute to the evolution of the design system, promoting consistency, reuse and quality at scale.
• Champion inclusive and accessible design practices, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.
• Measure and iterate on experience outcomes such as task success, error reduction and satisfaction proxies.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading UX design for complex products, services or platforms.
• Strong ability to balance strategic vision with detailed execution.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional product, engineering and data teams.
• Experience facilitating workshops and design reviews.
• Commitment to inclusive, accessible design and data‑driven iteration.
