Senior Tax Analyst – San Juan, Puerto Rico

About the role

The Senior Tax Analyst will support the SOL Group tax function, ensuring accurate tax compliance and providing strategic insight across multiple jurisdictions. This role is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and reports to the Group Tax Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review local income tax returns and indirect taxes for corporations in various jurisdictions.
• Calculate and document quarterly and annual tax provisions, including analysis of tax accounts and reserves.
• Research complex tax issues, interpret tax laws and regulations, and apply findings to transactions.
• Assist with tax audits by gathering documentation, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues.
• Manage tax registrations and filings to ensure compliance with local laws.
• Analyze the tax impact of business decisions and identify opportunities for tax savings.
• Perform any other duties compatible with the position as assigned.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (CGA, ACCA, CPA, CA) at the professional level.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in tax or accounting roles.
• Experience with Latin American/Caribbean tax matters; US tax knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent written and oral English and Spanish; French or Dutch is an asset.
• Self‑driven, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Alteryx and Power BI (or similar tools).
• Knowledge of tax software such as Onesource and Vertex.
• Familiarity with major accounting systems (SAP, GP).
• Strong analytical and research capabilities.
