Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

Quality Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure that suppliers deliver high‑quality parts, materials, and services for our pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical‑device manufacturing operations in Puerto Rico and the United States. You will work closely with component engineers, NPD teams, and external contract manufacturers.

Key responsibilities

• Qualify suppliers against company standards and manage a Certified Supplier Program.
• Monitor parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and resolve supplier‑related issues.
• Develop and maintain an auditing schedule to verify GMP compliance and quality standards.
• Evaluate supplier performance, provide feedback, and support pre‑market quality engineering for new product development.
• Collaborate on product acceptance sampling strategies, approved supplier list coordination, and control plan creation.
• Define receiving inspection requirements and validate test methods for internal testing.
• Travel to external contract manufacturers and supplier sites as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent foreign degree meeting 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) requirements).
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant supplier quality experience.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Experience coaching junior specialists and managing projects or processes.
• Strong problem‑solving skills across multiple disciplines.
