Senior Structural Engineer – Substation

About the role

The Senior Structural Engineer will lead multidisciplinary design teams to deliver world‑class structural solutions for new substation projects, alterations and redevelopments across a broad range of industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead structural design from concept through detailed design and construction for substation and related facilities.
• Prepare equipment specifications, RFQs, technical bid summaries and purchase recommendations.
• Review vendor drawings, coordinate with suppliers, clients and other engineering disciplines.
• Develop project schedules, scopes, budgets and manage change orders.
• Perform quality reviews of production drawings and construction administration, including field inspections and material testing.
• Lead field inspections, measurements and calculations for public and private clients.
• Prepare and present technical reports, cost proposals and project budgets.
• Mentor junior engineers, ensure QA/QC compliance and uphold safety policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related ABET‑accredited program.
• Minimum 7 years of structural engineering experience, preferably on EPC projects.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and deliver non‑standard design solutions.
