Senior Project Manager – Engineering & Design Projects

About the role

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the leadership and strategic management of complex, high‑value, multidisciplinary engineering and design projects from concept through completion. The role acts as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, providing technical direction, business insight, and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large‑scale or strategically significant engineering and design projects.
• Define and manage project scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, and budgets in line with client goals and company strategy.
• Oversee all phases of project delivery and integrate multidisciplinary teams (process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, environmental).
• Ensure alignment of technical, financial, and contractual performance with organizational standards and client expectations.
• Serve as primary client liaison for major accounts, building long‑term relationships and facilitating high‑level meetings and progress reviews.
• Develop, monitor, and control project budgets, profitability targets, and contract terms, including subconsultant agreements.
• Provide senior‑level technical oversight and quality review of deliverables, ensuring compliance with QA/QC processes and regulatory standards.
• Identify and manage project risks, safety, HSSE compliance, and legal/ethical requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, assistant project managers, and technical staff, fostering collaboration and professional growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering large engineering or design projects with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and client‑facing communication skills.
• Solid financial acumen and contract management experience.
• Knowledge of industry standards, QA/QC processes, and HSSE regulations.
• Track record of mentoring and developing project management talent.
