Senior Network Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Network Engineer you will join Inetum’s technology development team to evolve the IP transport network for B2B, B2C and wholesale services. You will work in a lab environment to validate new hardware and software versions and help shape emerging network solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and test network solutions in a controlled lab environment.
• Execute validation tests, troubleshoot technical issues and analyse results.
• Collect and document technical outputs, contributing to high‑ and low‑level designs and service specifications.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, including information system specifications.
• Support the development of fixed and mobile services across multiple market segments.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Network Technician or in a comparable role.
• Strong understanding of IP networking and telecommunications (IPv4/IPv6, TCP/IP, Multicast).
• Hands‑on experience with a wide range of protocols (HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, SNMP, UDP, ICMP).
• Proficiency in programming and data‑format languages such as Python, Perl, PHP, REST, JSON and XML.
• Experience with network equipment (ALU, Cisco routing & switching, Fortinet firewalls) and MPLS.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and platforms (Ansible, Wireshark, NetFlow, Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Comfortable working on Linux and Windows operating systems and with Red Hat OpenShift and Oracle platforms.
• CCNP Service Provider certification is a plus.
