Senior Internal Auditor – Data Analytics

About the role

As a Senior Internal Auditor – Data Analytics you will join a small, dynamic team within Hiscox’s Group Internal Audit function. You will be responsible for designing and executing data‑driven audit procedures across the Group, supporting the development of the team’s analytics and AI strategy while delivering high‑quality audit insights to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, scope and lead end‑to‑end internal audits across all Hiscox business units and functions.
• Design and execute data‑driven audit procedures, including transaction analysis and anomaly detection.
• Extract, clean and analyse large data sets using SQL and Python, building reusable analytics tools and scripts.
• Translate technical findings into clear audit insights and pragmatic recommendations for senior management.
• Ensure timely completion of audit cycles, from planning through reporting and follow‑up.
• Contribute to the Internal Audit team’s planning, strategy and continuous development.

Required profile

• Significant experience in internal audit, preferably within a financial services environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and lead audit engagements.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical results to non‑technical stakeholders.
