Senior Application Support & DevOps Engineer (Lisbon/Porto)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Application Support & DevOps Engineer to join a hybrid project based in Porto. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of critical applications and infrastructure while collaborating with development, database and network teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide production support and resolve incidents efficiently.
• Monitor applications and infrastructure to meet SLA and performance targets.
• Coordinate changes, deployments, maintenance and disaster‑recovery activities.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams and monitoring procedures.
• Manage backups and perform regular restore tests.
• Control application performance, capacity planning and automation initiatives.
• Work closely with development teams on architecture improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in IT infrastructure or application support.
• At least 4 years in a dedicated application support role.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with job schedulers such as Control‑M.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python, PowerShell).
• Basic understanding of databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Elastic Stack.
• Good grasp of networking fundamentals, LDAP, Active Directory, firewalls, reverse proxy and Kerberos.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, XLDeploy, Git) is a plus.
• English level B2 or higher.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment with a problem‑solving mindset.
