Senior AI & Data Strategy Expert

About the role

Vantage Towers is seeking a Senior AI & Data Strategy Expert to shape the data and AI landscape of its European tower network. You will design and govern data solutions that enable analytics, reporting and AI use cases across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure data architectures for the VT Data Lake and analytics ecosystem across cloud platforms.
• Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration and storage models to support large‑scale reporting.
• Enable AI/ML use cases by defining governed data access patterns, curating trusted datasets and piloting emerging technologies such as agentic AI.
• Develop self‑service BI solutions (e.g., Power BI) that turn complex data into actionable business insights.
• Lead technical design reviews, establish data‑governance principles and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
• Guide external vendors to deliver high‑quality, maintainable and compliant data and analytics solutions.

Required profile

• University degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business with an IT focus or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of experience in data architecture, data engineering or related roles, preferably in cloud‑native, multinational environments.
• Strong architectural mindset with the ability to assess trade‑offs and drive governance.

Required skills

• Python or Java programming
• Advanced SQL
• Data modelling, integration patterns, pipeline orchestration and storage design
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Familiarity with Vertex AI or BigQuery ML
• Power BI (or similar BI/reporting tools)
• ETL/ELT processes
