Scheduler

About the role

We are looking for a Scheduler to join Mace’s project delivery team. The role will support the planning and coordination of construction projects, ensuring schedules are realistic, integrated with health‑safety and sustainability objectives, and communicated clearly to all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans that respect logistics, site and contractual constraints.
• Collaborate with the project team to produce weekly progress reports and monitor functional obligations.
• Capture productivity data, analyse performance metrics and report on schedule progress.
• Communicate schedule information to clients, project teams and other stakeholders.
• Integrate sustainable design and procurement processes into the programme.
• Embed health‑and‑safety considerations within the schedule.
• Establish and maintain work‑plan deadlines and oversee their execution.
• Coordinate team activities to meet project milestones.
• Support net‑zero carbon initiatives by identifying and managing emissions throughout delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing small‑ to medium‑size construction projects from planning through delivery.
• Demonstrated expertise in project planning, scheduling and programme management within the built environment.
• Understanding of procurement routes, contract types and construction contracts.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to convey programme objectives, risks and milestones.
• Experience monitoring progress, analysing metrics and reporting outcomes.
• Knowledge of health, safety and sustainability principles in project delivery.
• Relevant academic or professional qualifications meeting local regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to collaborative working and net‑zero carbon objectives.
