Remote Accountant (US GAAP/UK GAAP)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our remote team. The successful candidate will manage daily accounting operations, ensure tax compliance and deliver accurate financial reporting in line with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss) complying with the relevant accounting standards.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure compliance with federal, state or UK tax regulations.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns and process payroll in accordance with local laws.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and expense monitoring to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience as an Accountant.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK) preferred.
• Reliable backup power, internet connection and a working laptop.
