React Software Developer

About the role

Decskill is seeking an experienced React Software Developer to lead and mentor its frontend team. You will be the technical reference for complex, business‑critical features and help shape the future of our frontend architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid‑level developers.
• Resolve complex technical challenges, investigate root causes, and propose scalable solutions.
• Define, maintain, and evolve frontend coding standards, documentation, and best practices.
• Ensure code quality through linting, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify and drive refactoring, performance optimisation, and technical debt reduction initiatives.
• Design and implement high‑risk or technically demanding UI components.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend, and other engineering teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience building applications with React.
• Strong ability to mentor, conduct code reviews, and promote continuous learning.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can work independently and unblock teams.
• Commitment to engineering excellence and quality‑first culture.

Required skills

• React (Hooks, Context API, component architecture, performance optimisation)
• TypeScript (advanced typing, generics, scalable type design)
• State management solutions (e.g., Zustand, Context API)
• Data fetching techniques
• CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Linting and automated testing
