Procurement Global Category Manager

About the role

Ferring Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Procurement Global Category Manager to lead indirect spend across multiple markets. Reporting to the Head of Procurement and ultimately the Chief Procurement Officer, you will work within a collaborative, global team to drive cost optimisation, supplier management and strategic sourcing.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with General Managers, Finance Managers and Business Unit Heads to understand procurement needs and financial objectives.
• Manage the full procurement lifecycle—including policy compliance, supplier risk, contract negotiations and purchase‑to‑pay efficiency—according to Ferring SOPs.
• Identify and propose innovative ways of working for regional sites.
• Recommend strategic activities to central procurement and local sites.
• Travel as required to support global sites and build relationships.

Required profile

• University degree or master’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience managing a variety of indirect categories.
• Proven experience in an international or multinational environment.
• Fluent English; Portuguese is a plus.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to influence senior leadership.
• Excellent teamwork skills and comfort working in a remote, changing organisation.
