Procurement Buyer

About the role

The Procurement Buyer will manage end‑to‑end sourcing activities for goods and services, leading RFQ/RFP processes and supplier negotiations to secure best value, quality and risk outcomes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to define requirements, evaluate proposals and support contract negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead RFQ, RFP and supplier selection processes for indirect procurement.
• Conduct negotiations to achieve optimal cost, quality, service and risk mitigation.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal business teams.
• Evaluate supplier proposals using commercial, financial and qualitative criteria.
• Ensure compliance with VWGDS policies, governance and Group standards.
• Support contract negotiations together with Legal, Information Security and Compliance.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist with Purchase Request (PR) and Purchase Order (PO) processes as needed.
• Maintain procurement documentation, sourcing records and audit‑ready files.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and process efficiencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or related field.
• 3‑5+ years of experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing or supplier management.
• Proven experience managing RFQ/RFP processes and strong negotiation skills.
• Commercial mindset with strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English and strong organizational attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple procurement initiatives simultaneously.
