About the role

The Pharmacy Customer Service Associate (Certified) provides a friendly, efficient checkout experience while supporting the pharmacist in daily pharmacy operations. Working at a Walgreens pharmacy, you will engage customers, handle transactions, and assist with prescription processing under direct supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Operate the cash register: process sales, returns, refunds, rain checks, and manage cash handling.
• Assist the pharmacist by entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, and checking for interactions.
• Handle non‑clinical phone calls, process manual claims, and perform clerical tasks.
• Maintain clean, well‑stocked counters and shelves; perform inventory checks and merchandising.
• Support pharmacy inventory activities such as ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceuticals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as indicated in the job title.
• Ability to work under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and communication skills.
• Comfort with cash handling and basic math.
• Attention to detail for accurate prescription entry and error reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy point‑of‑sale and dispensing systems.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and claim processing.
