PE Construction Manager (Hybrid)

About the role

Mentor Technical Group is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to lead construction projects for its life‑science clients. The role combines on‑site oversight with remote coordination, ensuring that every phase—from planning to close‑out—meets strict regulatory and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee construction projects from planning through execution, commissioning, and close‑out.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, building codes, OSHA, environmental regulations, and client‑specific standards.
• Manage schedules, budgets, resources, contractors, and subcontractors to achieve successful delivery.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Conduct field inspections and monitor site activities for quality and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
• Identify project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and communicate issues promptly.
• Prepare status reports, progress updates, budget analyses, and other required documentation.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities and providing technical input for proposals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction management or engineering project management.
• Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑oriented mindset.
