Part-Time Janitor

About the role

Join Diversified Maintenance as a part-time Janitor, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and appearance across commercial facilities. You will work on a variety of client sites, ensuring floors, restrooms, and common areas meet high standards of hygiene and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum all floor surfaces, using appropriate equipment and chemicals.
• Clean and restock restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash containers and operate compactors when required.
• Wash windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with suitable cleaners.
• Spot‑clean carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies according to schedule.
• Operate heavy cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
• Follow the housekeeping schedule and adapt duties to client specifications.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months of janitorial experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to receive on‑the‑job training.

Required skills

• Floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing.
• Safe use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Operation of floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
