Network Support Technician – Government Contract

About the role

AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking a Network Support Technician to provide Tier‑2 on‑site and remote support for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Office of the Chief Information Officer program in Miramar, Puerto Rico. The role ensures rapid resolution of hardware, software, network and cloud issues to keep critical government services running.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain LAN devices, servers, storage arrays and tape backup units.
• Support network‑attached equipment such as computers, printers, biometric devices, medical imaging equipment and sensors.
• Provide assistance for mobile and wireless devices, including smartphones, tablets and hotspots.
• Apply server configuration changes, security patches and perform backup health checks and restore testing.
• Monitor and resolve tickets in ServiceNow, updating documentation per guidelines.
• Generate daily, weekly and monthly activity reports.
• Maintain inventory records and support video teleconferencing infrastructure.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, after‑hours support and special project deployments.
• Run cabling in data centers, LAN rooms and related facilities.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on quick issue resolution.
• Willingness to work a minimum of five days per week on‑site at the customer location.
