MES Consultant – Digital Manufacturing

About the role

Our Manufacturing Systems team seeks a hands‑on, solution‑oriented MES Consultant to support the digitalisation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. You will work closely with factory and production teams, combining digital manufacturing solutions, data integration and industrial IT/automation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation, development and continuous improvement of MES and Digital Factory solutions.
• Collaborate with production teams and local stakeholders to understand processes and identify digitalisation opportunities.
• Work with PLC, robot and other equipment teams to enable connected manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MES, integrations and production systems.
• Document implemented solutions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay up‑to‑date with innovative technologies and help develop digital manufacturing capabilities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Fluent English (written and verbal) and willingness to travel internationally.

Required skills

• SQL and database knowledge.
• Python programming.
• Experience with MES, Digital Factory solutions or IIoT platforms.
• Understanding of industrial automation, PLCs, robots and production equipment.
• Familiarity with RFID technologies (UHF, NFC) – nice to have.
• Knowledge of Inductive Automation Ignition platform – nice to have.
