Maintenance Technician II – Third Shift

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join the Equipment Maintenance Area at its Abbott Vascular Plant in Barceloneta. This is a third‑shift position focused on maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable production of medical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Observe and comply with all safety rules, QSR and ISO standards.
• Perform set‑up, testing, repair, inspection and routine maintenance on equipment across manufacturing, warehouse and quality areas.
• Identify, document and implement corrective actions for equipment issues.
• Execute corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance as needed.
• Install and validate new equipment to improve performance or reduce cycle time.
• Evaluate operational data to make online adjustments to products, instruments or equipment.
• Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment and materials and coordinate tool construction for the production area.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Industrial Technology or a related field (as indicated in the posting).
• Experience working with manufacturing equipment and performing preventive maintenance.
• Ability to work third‑shift and follow documented procedures.
