Logistics Dispatcher – Returnable Packaging (Lisbon)

About the role

As a Logistics Dispatcher for returnable packaging, you will ensure the smooth flow of reusable containers used by automotive manufacturers. Based in Lisbon, you will work with SAP‑based tools to monitor stock, plan transports and react quickly when plans go off track.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily availability of returnable containers and incoming requirements from suppliers and plants.
• Review, adjust and approve automatically generated planning proposals in line with defined processes.
• Manage operational planning for four XDock sites, coordinating transports and stock reallocations.
• Identify early signs of deviations, bottlenecks or delayed deliveries and initiate corrective actions.
• Follow up on outstanding issues until a solution is found, escalating critical situations when necessary.
• Validate orders and system data for plausibility, ensuring information is accurate and complete.
• Handle special and clearing cases, providing necessary information to resolve them.
• Collaborate closely with supervisors or team leaders, especially in complex or critical situations.

Required profile

• Completed qualification in logistics, freight forwarding, industry or a comparable field.
• 1–3 years of experience in operational logistics, scheduling or supply‑chain management.
• Experience working in a system‑supported environment with a strong interest in data and digital processes.
• Analytical thinking, process discipline and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
• Initiative, sense of responsibility and strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
