Lead Product Development Engineer

About the role

AGSE is looking for a Lead Product Development Engineer to establish and grow its European engineering presence. The senior individual‑contributor will work directly with engine OEMs, airlines and maintenance organisations to turn operational needs into innovative ground‑support equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with European aerospace customers to capture technical, safety and lifecycle requirements.
• Translate requirements into product concepts, detailed designs and development plans for engine transportation stands and related equipment.
• Lead projects from concept through design release, validation, prototype testing and production introduction.
• Conduct and facilitate technical, concept and design reviews across time zones.
• Develop mechanical designs, calculations, tolerance analyses, load evaluations and risk assessments.
• Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, bills of materials and release documentation using Autodesk Inventor and internal systems.
• Support prototype build, verification testing and resolution of technical issues.
• Collaborate closely with AGSE’s California engineering team to ensure global standards and seamless product development.

Required profile

• Senior‑level mechanical or aerospace engineer with proven product development experience.
• Strong customer‑facing skills and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to evolve the role into an Engineering Manager for Europe.
