Lead Interior Designer

About the role

Vida Plena, a Lisbon‑based hospitality group, is expanding its portfolio with new hotels and F&B‑focused venues. We are seeking a Lead Interior Designer to drive the creative execution of multiple hospitality projects, translating the founder’s vision into detailed design solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full design process from concept through construction delivery for several hotel and restaurant projects simultaneously.
• Convert the founder’s creative direction into mood boards, material palettes, technical drawings and FF&E specifications.
• Manage and mentor a small design team, establishing standards for quality, craftsmanship and workflow.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and project managers to preserve design intent during construction.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality, resolve on‑site issues and ensure design fidelity.
• Champion guest experience by shaping spatial flow, material feel and atmospheric details.
• Help build the culture and operating methods of a growing design department.

Required profile

• 8+ years of interior design experience with end‑to‑end project delivery.
• Minimum 3 years dedicated to hospitality projects such as hotels, restaurants or other F&B spaces.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring junior designers.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
