Lead Engineer – R&D and Product Design

About the role

Delox is seeking a senior, hands‑on Lead Engineer to own the technical development of its bio‑decontamination portfolio. You will guide products from concept through prototype validation to industrial production, working on standalone devices and systems integrated into HVAC infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the engineering development of existing and next‑generation products, including devices, accessories, and integrated HVAC solutions.
• Translate product requirements into detailed specifications, system architectures, and manufacturable designs.
• Create 3D mechanical models, production drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks.
• Design enclosures, airflow paths, vapor‑generation components, and mechanical interfaces.
• Develop and validate vapor‑generation concepts against performance targets such as concentration, temperature, pressure drop, and energy consumption.
• Perform CFD and FEA simulations, compare results with experimental data, and iterate designs.
• Build, instrument, and test prototypes; select and integrate sensors, actuators, power supplies, controllers, and data‑acquisition systems.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineer with strong experimental mindset and proven ability to take concepts to production.
• Experience in mechanical design, thermofluids, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Ability to lead design reviews and make independent engineering decisions.
