Junior Data Engineer

About the role

CSA Group is looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join its fast‑paced, diverse team. You will help design, build and maintain data solutions that support AI and LLM initiatives within the Microsoft ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement data models, schemas, and structures optimized for AI/LLM consumption.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for both structured and unstructured data.
• Build and manage AI‑ready datasets and context layers for Copilot solutions and LLM workflows.
• Integrate data sources with APIs and AI frameworks, ensuring accuracy, relevance and performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject‑matter experts to translate requirements into data models and AI‑ready structures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a data‑focused role or an equivalent project portfolio.
• Experience cleaning, transforming and structuring datasets (Excel, CSV, JSON, SharePoint, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and data modeling concepts (star schema, normalization).
• Familiarity with Microsoft data tools such as SharePoint, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Interest in AI/LLM concepts, prompting, context design and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Commitment to ethical, privacy‑by‑design AI adoption.
