Junior Consultant – Corporate Accounting & Tax

About the role

Apex Group is looking for a Junior Consultant to join its Accounting team in Lisbon. You will support the team in reviewing monthly accounting, preparing tax returns and producing financial reports for Portuguese entities within the Apex client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and review accounting for multiple Portuguese companies.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Produce statutory financial statements.
• Prepare and review Portuguese tax returns.
• Maintain client relationships and liaise with internal stakeholders on operational matters.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience with exposure to Portuguese tax compliance and Portuguese GAAP.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised and accurate working methodology.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting ERP systems.
