Junior Bus Network Planner – Transportation Planning

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Bus Network Planner to join Flix’s Europe Network Planning team in Lisbon. You will help shape and optimise our bus network, working closely with Business Development, Revenue Management and Commercial Excellence to drive growth and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and optimise FlixBus lines in collaboration with cross‑functional teams and local stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities for line portfolio to ensure smooth network changes, launches and operational requests.
• Manage day‑to‑day communication with business partners and support operational demand.
• Prepare presentations, reports, analyses and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
• Analyse network performance and transportation demand using various datasets to identify growth opportunities.
• Derive data‑driven insights and present findings in a clear, structured manner.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Transportation Management, Geography, Spatial Planning, Transportation Engineering, Logistics, Mathematics, Economics or a related field.
• First experience in network planning, transportation planning, mobility, analytics or consulting is a strong plus.
• Passion for the transportation sector and strong interest in schedule and network planning.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with data‑driven decision making.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
