Invoice Quality Control Trainee (Procure to Pay)

About the role

The Procure‑to‑Pay Trainee position is a structured learning opportunity within BNP Paribas’ Middle Office. Under close mentorship, you will support invoice quality control and related P2P processes while gaining hands‑on experience in supplier data management, onboarding and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Complete mandatory P2P Middle Office induction and e‑learning modules within the first four weeks.
• Shadow all P2P domains (Order Support, Global Master Data, Purchasing, Invoice Quality Control, Servicing, Supplier Relationship) and document observations.
• Assist low‑value invoice matching (< €1 k) and simple PO/Goods Receipt checks under mentor supervision.
• Prepare basic analytical extracts using Excel templates and support simple query resolution.
• Execute all transactions in a dual‑control environment, report discrepancies immediately, and maintain a detailed transaction log.
• Meet weekly with an assigned mentor to review progress and update a competency tracker.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Management or a related field.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, adapt to flexible schedules and collaborate with international teams.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience using an ERP system for transaction processing.
