GMP Technician – Cleanroom Operations

About the role

The GMP Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly GMP environment, supporting shift leads, and ensuring compliance with safety and SOP requirements. The role involves repetitive cleaning tasks, equipment upkeep, and interaction with customers and team members.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures; intervene when risky behavior is observed.
• Perform repetitive cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance tasks in a GMP‑controlled area.
• Maintain a clean work area, use proper personal protective equipment, and present a professional appearance.
• Support shift lead by completing punch‑list items, work orders, and shutdown cleaning.
• Accurately complete daily FN logs and report maintenance issues.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, co‑workers, managers, and customers.
• Act as a fill‑in for staff shortages and assist with area classification tasks.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience (preferred).
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus; valid driver’s license may be required.
• Completed safety and task‑training certifications; forklift certification may be required.
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs, manuals, and work instructions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, compounds, and equipment.
• Experience with gowning procedures for GMP areas.
• Forklift operation (if certified).
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
