Global Freight Forwarding & Logistics Manager

About the role

As a Global Freight Forwarding & Logistics Manager you will lead the worldwide freight forwarding and 3PL portfolio, ensuring cost‑effective, compliant, and high‑performance transportation of our medicines. You will work in a hybrid setting with an international team focused on continuous improvement across the value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of global freight forwarding and 3PL operations, ensuring cost efficiency, service performance, and compliance with GDP, IATA and other regulations.
• Lead the global freight forwarder and 3PL portfolio across all transport modes, driving KPI governance, cost optimisation and continuous improvement.
• Define and optimise transportation lanes, routings and supply‑chain flows while aligning with Quality and GDP requirements.
• Manage transportation budgets, freight rates and logistics cost structures, supporting forecasting and strategic decisions.
• Drive logistics digitalisation through visibility tools, automated reporting and standardised analytics.
• Act as the global transportation and logistics expert, providing market intelligence, risk‑mitigation strategies and leading change initiatives.
• Handle escalations from local and global teams related to service issues, disruptions, exceptions or claim management.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in global logistics, freight forwarding or end‑to‑end supply‑chain environments.
• Proven experience with GDP requirements, Incoterms and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder‑management, negotiation and problem‑solving skills in a global context.
