General Manager – Elevator Services (Puerto Rico)

About the role

TK Elevator is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead its Puerto Rico branch. The role oversees all departments, drives revenue growth, and ensures safety, professionalism, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise department managers and superintendents, providing direction, training, and communication of company policies.
• Lead the branch’s safety program and enforce safety standards.
• Ensure daily operations run efficiently, meeting financial targets for EBIT and gross margin across all business lines.
• Manage the branch P&L, using accounting reports to monitor departmental performance and achieve budget goals.
• Collaborate with sales managers to expand the customer base and oversee service contract retention, including “at‑risk” accounts.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, elevator consultants, building owners, and prospects.
• Oversee employee performance processes for union and non‑union staff, recommend merit increases, and manage compensation reviews.
• Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local elevator code requirements and labor laws.
• Coordinate with regional HR, operations, sales, accounting, and safety teams, and approve invoices, receivables, and purchasing decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Extensive management experience in the elevator or related industry.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics, union contracts, and labor regulations.
• Proven ability to drive revenue growth and manage multi‑departmental operations.

Required skills
