Financial Planner

About the role

Popular is seeking a Financial Planner to join its San Juan office. The professional will analyze clients' financial situations holistically, identify risks and opportunities, and design strategies that help clients meet their personal and financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct client meetings and apply a structured financial planning methodology to advise on objectives based on life‑stage, current finances, and needs.
• Grow client relationships, cross‑sell services and products, and enhance profitability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the bank and other Popular entities to deliver integrated advice.
• Maintain trust‑based, long‑term client relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Financial Planning, Risk Management, or Law.
• Preferred certifications: CFP, MBA, CPA, JD, or other relevant designations.
• Minimum two years of experience with financial products, insurance, business development, tax, and regulatory matters.
• Strong client service, sales, teamwork, negotiation, analytical reasoning, and presentation abilities.
