Finance and Managing Director

About the role

The Finance and Managing Director will oversee the finance function of Arival Group and the office administration of Arival Bank. Based in San Juan, this senior leader will act as a strategic partner to the CFO and Group President, delivering financial analysis, planning and regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Group’s finance function, providing strategic guidance on financial performance, capital allocation and liquidity management.
• Evaluate financial implications of strategic initiatives, new products, partnerships and major operating decisions.
• Drive annual budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning in line with business strategy and banking regulations.
• Monitor consolidated and entity‑level performance, identify variances, emerging risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing, consolidation processes and maintain consistent accounting policies and internal controls.
• Provide regular Group‑wide financial and operational reporting to senior executives, including regulatory reporting specific to Arival Bank.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, operating efficiency and effective use of capital.

Required profile

• Extensive finance and accounting experience, preferably within the banking sector.
• Strong business judgment and ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Proven track record in financial strategy, capital planning and regulatory reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
