Engineering Manager – Lead AI‑Driven Product Teams

About the role

Mercedes‑Benz.io is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one or more product‑focused engineering teams. You will combine strategic vision with hands‑on technical leadership to deliver digital solutions that create real value for the Mercedes‑Benz brand.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams through end‑to‑end delivery, balancing customer needs, business goals and engineering excellence.
• Shape product and engineering strategy together with senior product and technology leaders.
• Champion AI adoption across products and engineering practices, guiding teams to leverage emerging technologies.
• Drive execution, set measurable outcomes and ensure accountability for strategic priorities.
• Coach, mentor and develop engineers, fostering performance, growth and engagement.
• Oversee workforce planning, hiring and resource allocation to meet current and future business demands.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance engineering practices and organizational health.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, product partners and other engineering groups to align priorities.
• Guide technical decisions, evaluate trade‑offs and maintain high technical standards.
• Track performance, delivery, team health, AI adoption and business impact using relevant KPIs.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading and developing engineering teams in a product‑oriented environment.
• Proven ability to align engineering work with business strategy and translate objectives into clear plans.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Track record of driving AI initiatives and fostering technical innovation.

Required skills

• Artificial Intelligence concepts and practical adoption.
